Behind the studio door...

I became a metalsmith literally by accident.

I started out in the jewelry business by doing simple wire-wrapped earrings and wanted to make my own sterling silver headpins.

After mastering that process of using a butane torch to ball up the ends of sterling wire....well, it just opened up a whole world to me!

My work has been described as " flaunting a hint of the bordello, a touch of romance and the flavour of a treasure from your grandmother."

I start with the finest of precious metals such as sterling silver or gold, toss in a liberal amount of delectable gemstones, mixed up with found objects like 100 year old china doll pieces ,vintage tintypes or 'alternative' materials such as wood, bone or antler...and present with flourish & flair, something decadent for you or a friend...

Jewellery with a story...
